Password Reset & Account Recovery

We have received a large number of requests and appreciate everyone's patience.

The most common reason that we can not approve a request has been that the e-mail chosen already has a Stronghold Kingdoms account registered to it. If the replacement e-mail chosen has an old or unused account associated with it, it cannot be used to recover your account. Even if the account associated with the e-mail was never authenticated, that e-mail cannot be used as the replacement e-mail address.

To be sure that your recovery application is approved, please consider using an e-mail address created very recently as your replacement address or creating a new e-mail address for this purpose.

If your application is approved you will receive an e-mail at the new e-mail address you provided. If you have not received an e-mail to the new email address you selected after 48 hours, this most likely means your application was not approved and should be resubmitted.

Please be aware that not all requests will be approved and that the most common reason a request is not approved is insufficient or incorrect information.

We also will not be able to approve your request if the new e-mail which you chose has already been used to register a Stronghold Kingdoms account. If your application is not approved, please try submitting the application again and choosing a different new e-mail address.

Any information you choose to provide is held encrypted and then deleted as soon as the associated request is approved or declined.

Firefly’s Tips for making a secure password when playing our games

When playing some of our games, we ask that you create an account to access them, which requires a username and a password to be created. To help maintain the security of our players and their time within our online worlds, here are a handful of top tips in creating strong and secure passwords.

The longer, the better

There are multiple methods hackers can use to gain access to your information, the longer your password is, typically the longer it takes to be decrypted. For clarity, passwords that are three characters or less can be broken in less than a second by modern decryption methods So we suggest using eight characters or more.

Include numbers, varying cases and symbols

Much the same as the length of the password, incorporating a variety of cases, symbols and numbers increases the complexity of the password and the difficulty in breaking it. One good suggestion is to incorporate it into memorable phrases, such as replacing O with 0 or E with 3.

Be aware of where you log in

Avoid entering your account on devices you don’t own or control as they could potentially have malware installed to intercept and steal your login information. Additionally, avoid using your account on an internet connection you don’t own or control. Hackers often utilise open, unsecured Wi-Fi connections such as those in Cafes or Airports to intercept sensitive data.

Use different passwords

One of the best practices in creating secure accounts online is to use different login information for each of your accounts. This means that if one of them happens to become vulnerable, the others remain secure. The downside of this is that it becomes a challenge to remember all the different logins required, but there are secure third-party password managers that help to alleviate this. Never use the same login details for your online banking or other sensitive information sources as ours or any other online service.

Change your password regularly

Infringements on security can happen often without yours or the data holder’s knowledge. A final top tip is to change your passwords regularly to help maintain your accounts security throughout your time playing. The more sensitive you feel the information is, the more you should be changing your password. As mentioned previously, secure services exist to help manage your online account information such as password managers. It’s also fine to write all your passwords down, as long as they are kept private and secure.

New Player - Lord Accounts

When a new player who is discovering Stronghold Kingdoms for the first time on iOS, Android, Mac or Windows 10 Store enters the game world, they will be named Lord ##### until they choose to register a proper name for themselves.  This is the reason why you see many players with similar names like Lord 12292 or Lord 19471.


These new players present a great opportunity for you to expand your influence, acquire vassals, forge alliances and meet new friends!

Reach out to these players and welcome them to the community, their loyalty to you in the wars to come may be worth more than all of the crowns and cards in the kingdom!
